William Skeen's bio

Cellist and violist da gamba, WILLIAM SKEEN, is currently principal cellist with the Los Angeles Baroque Orchestra, and a member of the Carmel Bach Festival, Riverside and New West Symphonies. He has also appeared as solo and/or principal cellist with the Musica Angelica Baroque Orchestra, the reknowned YMF Debut Orchestra, and the Aspen Concert Orchestra. Mr. Skeen received his musical training from the Cleveland Institute of Music (B.M. 1996), and the University of Southern California (M.M. 1998), studying privately with Alan Harris and Ronald Leonard. William is also co-founder and manager of La Monica, a baroque ensemble specializing in Italian music of the 17th century. In his spare time he hosts a cooking program on Los Angeles cable TV
